Hurär läget? So far everything is going well. Next week I'm going to take my first test in school, so I can't wait for that (yeah right). As far as school work, my friends help and translate for me, so It's not a problem. As you probably know I play soccer for a club in Gråbo, Sweden. They've agreed to play me free of charge and they pay for my transportation. I can't play in games yet, till I get my football license. Hopefully I'll be able to play my first game next week. Tell Ethan, I know how he feels about partying so much. Lately, I haven't been getting enough sleep and have had tried to tune down partying, but who can resist just one more party. My social life is also great. Ever since arriving in Sweden, I've made a ton of friends. I guess Swedes must really like brown guys. The other exchange students also organize lots of things to keep busy, so there's never a dull moment. My rotary club is also great. They give me a monthly salary of 800 kronors ($100), and have agreed to pay half the price of each trip i'll be taking this year abroad. The weather is getting colder, the daylight hours shorter, and it rains constantly, so I'm adjusting to that. Also, I would of never thought that the weather influences people so much. For instance, when it's dark and rainy, everyone seems to be sad and gloomy. But when it's sunny, everyone is alive with joy. So far I haven't been homesick and don't think I'll be, even though I miss everything back in Florida; especially my parents cooking! All you guys in Europe, don't be surprised by how much alcohol is consumed at parties, I heard that Sweden tops them all. Well that's it for my monthly report. Sincerely, Neil Moise |
