A Letter from the Bahamas |
|||||||||||||
After a hard beginning, I'm settled in now. School is ok. I'm used to the school uniform. The good thing is, you needn't worry about what to wear the next day. The bad thing is, I'm always scared that I strangle myself with the tie. Keeping myself busy with soccer (even though I always miss the goal or the ball), fooling around with Karo and being involved in churchwork, time passes pretty fast. When I first came here, it was of course very difficult, because everything is so different (the people, the food, school, friends, etc.) and I felt that I didn't fit in. Having the possibility to see life and everything that goes with it from a totally different point of view, it is such a great experience, and a major step in my life. The thing I like most is swimming away when sharks are coming and tidying up my room . . . Blessings to everybody, Yours, Tabea http://www.homestead.com/district6990studentpix98/tabealet.html ORIGINAL WRITTEN VERSION |
